Cargill Tyson Equestrian proudly presents for sale “Arnie”! He is an 8yo 16.2hh approx Clydie X. His registered name is “Timberidge Park Hold Me Back”. He is registered with Clydie Cross Sport Horse Association. He is 8yo 16.2. Born October 2013. Arnie is the perfect allrounder prospect for a rider looking for a fun, safe horse to bring along and have lots of fun with along the way! With his current owner he has done adult riding club/pony club, jumping, cross country, dressage, trail riding, beach rides/swimming etc. He has even competed at the Pony Club State level ride to time at Mooney Valley Race Course. He has done Grade 3 eventing with placings at Grade 4 and schooled cross country jumps up to Grade 2 level at pony club. He has a sweet temperament and is generally very well behaved especially under saddle but does need a competent handler as he can get a little nervous on the ground. He doesn’t really do anything but can just be a bit timid to lead around so needs a very kind handler who can reassure him and give him lots of confidence on the ground. He is much more confident under saddle. On the flat he has established basic concepts of flexion, yielding, outside aids and rhythm and is very easy to ride in a frame. He is very soft in the hand and willing to stretch and doesn’t get strong/heavy. He can be a bit lazy at times so needs a rider capable of kicking. He also falls in a little to the right so also needs someone capable of pushing him from the inside leg into the outside rein although he is very smart and this is getting better every day. He is naturally balanced and with a bit more strength and suppleness training he will be able to sit more in the canter and be capable of scoring very well in the dressage phase. As a jumper, he is brave, willing and is showing good technique to go on and jump bigger fences in the future! Ben has been jumping him up to 90cm with ease over a variety of different fences and we think he would make an outstanding hunting prospect too. Due to his size, we think he would thrive with an intermediate handler or someone with some horse handling experience, he would suit a range of different level riders under saddle. He is very versatile and would be happy as a competition or pleasure horse and could make a long term best friend for the right rider. We really adore this horse and his sweet temperament and can’t wait to see what he goes on to achieve in his new home.
