Berry

Cargill Tyson Equestrian proudly presents for sale on behalf of owner “Davren Park Berry”!She is an 8yo 17hh approx Warmblood mare. She is by Snowview Rondalay out of Cherrymount Luctome Berry is a striking dapple grey with excellent conformation and a lovely sweet temperament. She is very pretty with an elegant front end and high quality paces. She maintains good rhythm in the walk and has an big over track. She is very active in the trot with a lot of natural swing and expression. Her canter is big but balanced for her level of education. It definitely shows a lot of scope for dressage and jumping in the future. Although she is very naturally talented, she is still green and a very big horse. She can be a little lazy at times and needs to be reminded to stay forward but is willing when you get her there and is getting more confident in her movement as she is building strength and fitness. She is a very quick learner, and has transformed so much since her arrival here a few weeks ago. She still has minor inconsistencies in the contact but feels better every ride, and it will not take her long to catch up and start to offer a more secure connection to the bit. For a horse of her size, she already understands basic concepts of self-carriage, and half halts and doesn’t tend to get heavy or strong which is a huge advantage when producing a bigger young horse for performance. She also understands turning and yielding and is fairly straight and supple so should pick up the lateral work easily. Berry has just started jumping recently and is showing great promise as a jumper/eventer. She is reasonably brave, and wants to jump. She has good natural technique and makes an exciting shape over a fence for the future. If this is how she is already jumping, we can’t wait to see how her technique develops over the bigger fences as she gets stronger and more experience. She has been trail riding and she really enjoys getting off the arena for something different. Doesn’t seem to get overly worried, hot or silly. We have not found her to be a spooky horse. She was very genuine and straight forward to bring back into work and has been a pleasure to train ever since. On the ground she has been pretty easy to handle but as she is a big, green horse we would prefer someone who has some experience handling and riding big/young horses or someone who works closely with a trainer/coach who can help produce her further. She is a seriously nice horse and deserves a competitive performance home where she can excel and reach her full potential. Located Nyora VIC
