Cargill Tyson Equestrian proudly presents Ferris for Sale - aka "Ferris Bueller". Ferris is a rising 12yo 15.1hh WB x TB Bay Gelding with many years of education and experiences invested in him. He is a very cute little type with a fine build and very pretty. He has regular paces without having huge movement which would make him the ideal schoolmaster type for a rider wanting to develop their own position, feel and sitting trot as he is very rhythmic and steady in the contact. Ferris has done years of pony club/adult riding club and competing with a focus on dressage and showing. He has competed at Pony Club Nationals in Toowoomba for Grade 1 dressage and gymkhana. He has competed up to pony club C grade show jumping (90cm) in the past but would probably be better suited to a rider who would be happy doing up to D grade. (75cm) He has also done eventing and would be a safe mount for a rider looking to do grade 5 and Grade 4 Horse Trials but he doesn't love jumping down into the water jump (which starts at Grade 3) so would probably need to paddle through the unflagged area before popping through the water jump to avoid picking up any penalties. He has done pony club camps, trail rides, bareback riding/bush rides/road riding, swimming at the beach and in rivers! His best quality is his amazing temperament, he would be an outstanding confidence booster for a young or adult rider who wants a dressage/showing focused allrounder to learn the ropes on, and climb up the levels while having loads of fun and staying safe. He has been there and done it all, so would be a very reliable, consistent and trust-worthy partner for a rider that can get apprehensive. He has done elementary dressage in the past and is obedient in the lateral work with a leg yeild, shoulder in, travers/renvers etc but he does lack a little bit of suppleness in these movements to be truly competitive although they could be improved with more focus on this moving forward. Ferris has won at Barastoc in the Pony Club Ring and placed 2nd at Pony Club Nationals Toowoomba 2017 and highest placed Victorian combination in the senior formal gymkhana. Wins at dressage in Grade 1 at smaller competitions and wins and placings at Grade 2 and Grade 3 dressage comps. Ferris is very well behaved in all aspects, he is excellent to catch, float, tack up and handle, clip, shoe etc. He is very easy going and does not need to be in consistent work. You can just jump on after time off and he will be sensible and relaxed. He would be happy being worked daily or once a week so a great horse for a busy professional or student who struggles for time and just wants to hop on when they can without any fuss and go out to shows without having to ride every day. Don't miss the opportunity to secure yourself a safe, experienced and proven warmblood dressage/showing/low level allrounder schoolmaster in a small package with an outstanding temperament.
