Cargill Tyson Equestrian proudly presents Kirk for Sale - aka Heartwood Rendezvous. Kirk is a rising 14yo 15.3hh TB Chestnut Gelding with many years of education and experiences invested in him. He is an outstanding type with good conformation and and an elegant uphill front. He has very high quality paces with good swing and reach in the trot and a suppleness over his back that allows you to easily sit on him. He has an exceptional canter, and this is a real highlight when sitting on him. He is very balanced and adjustable with good jump and energy and a special talent for collection. He truly is a pleasure to ride. Kirk comes from Tasmania where he has competed extensively in showing at the highest levels with many years of wins and placings to his name including wins and places at HOTY. He is the ultimate childs small hack and would be the ideal mount for a young show/dressage rider looking for an uncomplicated ride to get out and win on right away. Although he hasn't done much competitive dressage yet, he has a very solid foundation of dressage education and we believe he would easily transition into being a competitive dressage mount and would climb up the levels through novice/elementary/medium without too much trouble. He has basic laterals started and has started changes with a clean change each ways most of the time, occasionally still a little late behind. He needs a bit more lateral suppleness through his ribcage both ways to get the lateral work to a competitive test level but has a good understanding of turning and yeilding so just a matter of giving him some time to become more supple and elastic in that work. He has a lovely easy going temperament and loves to hack out and be ridden around the farm as well. He is brave and willing in his work and very forward under saddle which makes him very comfortable to sit on and just enjoy! Kirk would make a fabulous interschool/young rider/pony club mount for a rider who wants to really excel at showing and dressage with a reliable, safe and fun mount! He has done some low level eventing in the past so would happily pop over small jumps for a rider who wanted that option as well. He is brave so someone who wanted to put some time in to develop his technique could potentially take him up the levels as an allrounder too but his true talent definitely lies with showing and dressage. This horse is definitely a yard favourite at the moment. Everybody here loves riding him (there has even been a rock, paper, scissors for who got to ride him one day!!) and he will work beautifully for a range of different riders. Don't miss the opportunity to secure yourself an elite, stunning and proven to win show horse in a smaller package who has many other desirable qualities.
