Cargill Tyson Equestrian proudly presents for sale on behalf of owner “Reg” aka “Davren Park Reg”. He is an 8yo 17hh approx Warmblood X Clydie Gelding. He is by Snowview Rondalay out of Clydesdale mare "Davren Park Rhonda". Reg is a super impressive bay warmblood x Clydie with excellent conformation and a really sweet temperament. He is very striking with his tall, chunky but still athletic stature and uphill front. Reg is currently owned by his breeder. He was broken in well and although he is green and big, he has been given a solid foundation of training and is very correct in the way he goes. He has exceptional movement definitely taking more to the warmblood side, he definitely doesn't have clumpy paces! He actually has a very wow factor trot, when we first saw him move we were blown away. He has good expression, reach and lift and in the right hands we can see him going on to do impressive things in the future with that trot! He also has a lot of natural cadence and swing. His canter is naturally balanced and uphill, and is already becoming more adjustable. He will have a strong ability to collect and extend well as he gets stronger. He walks well with clear forward rhythm and a sizeable over track. In the contact he is mostly soft and easy to ride in a frame. He is willing to stretch and reach and has an elegant arch to his neck. He is learning to carry himself and half halt properly and for a horse of his size and education level, he is doing really well. He can get a little low in the frame and a little heavy in the hand at times but is trying really hard and with continued training will be a very competitive and enjoyable dressage mount. We have found him to be very quiet and sensible to ride with a good attitude towards his work. He is confident in new environments and not really spooky in his surroundings. He is a little lazy but learning to be more forward and responsive every day and is a very quick learner. He feels like he definitely has the potential for upper level dressage work but is a very high quality and versatile mount so we can see him being equally comfortable in the show jumping ring and he could even try his hoof at eventing and hunting! He has just commenced jumping and is a total natural. The first fence we popped him over, he jumped scopey and with great technique so we knew he was talented right away. He makes a good shape, already uses his back and neck over a fence and is showing serious show jumping potential. He is very willing to jump and is very careful but does get confidence from his rider so would be best with a rider who can ride to a fence with leg on. He has been out on the local roads and trails around our house and was the same as he is on the arena and a pleasure to ride out. He has very good ground manners and we have found him very easy to catch, lead, tie up, tack up etc. Due to his size and still being a bit green, we think he would be best suited to a competent intermediate + rider or someone who is going to work closely with a trainer/coach as he commences his competition career! Reg is a super talented and versatile performance horse prospect for the future who will be easy-going enough to hack out and have fun with also. He is such a good mover and jumper, we honestly can't wait to see what he goes on to achieve with his new rider! Located Nyora VIC
